- The Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple of Srisailam is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is on top of the Srisailam Hill which is situated in the Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. It was built by King Kanthivarma and completed by his successor, King Satavahana for over 150 years during the 2nd-1st century BC.This beautiful place attracts tourists from India and abroad as it has many places to visit like Akka Mahadevi Caves, Triveni Sangameshwara Temple, and other connecting temples. The main reason for this attraction is its location on top of a hill that stands tall among others in the surroundings areas of Guntakal and Kurnool districts.
