- A restore a glass shower door can be a beautiful addition to your bathroom, but it can also be a hazard. Sometimes, just a little water can cause the glass to warp and crack. If this is the case, you can easily restore the glass with a few tools and some patience. First, find a flat surface to place your glass on. Then, find some sand paper and start rubbing it on the outside of the glass. Use plenty of pressure so that you are able to remove all of the scratches on the glass. This will help the glass become smooth again. After you've done this, you can fill a pot with water and place it on top of the glass so that it creates heat. Wait for about 15 minutes for the heat to melt the remaining scratches away. If there are still scratches left, you can use a wet rag to wipe away any remaining scratches and then wait for the glass to cool down again. You will then be able to see that your glass is restored to its original condition! To restore a glass shower door, you'll need a few things: a towel, a bucket, a putty knife, and some soap. First, use the towel to cover the top of the door and place the bucket underneath. Next, using the putty knife, spread soap around the edges of the door and on the towel. Then, using your hands, start to peel off the old sealant in small sections. Once you have peeled off enough of the old sealant, you should be able to get your fingers under the edges of the glass and remove it. Next, clean up any remaining pieces of old sealant with water and soap before applying new sealant.
